The principles establish best practices for manufacturers and end users.
The Department of Energy (DOE) recently released guidance, titled the Supply Chain Cybersecurity Principles, outlining safe digital practices for America’s energy economy. Developed in collaboration with the Idaho National Laboratory to guide electric, oil, and natural gas operations, these principles also received approval from large companies in the energy industry, including GE Vernova, Hitachi Energy, and Honeywell.
“As we build our clean energy future, it is critical that we incorporate strong cybersecurity protections,” said Deputy Secretary of Energy David Turk. “Together with our G7 allies, we’re helping ensure energy infrastructure worldwide is more reliable and resilient against tomorrow’s threats and challenges.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Deputy Secretary Turk as he facilitates the dissemination of the cyber security guidelines.
- For U.S. energy officials as they promote the security principles to producers of energy.
